Tax Preparation Process
Here is what to expect throughout the process of preparing your tax return.
Step 1: Sign the Engagement Letter
The first step in the process is signing the engagement letter.
Step 2: Complete the Organizer
The second step is to complete the organizer and provide us with all documentation relevant to the preparation of your tax return.
Step 3: Answer Questions
Throughout the process of preparing your tax return, we may have questions for you. These questions may be provided via the portal or sent via email or text. Please answer these questions as quickly as possible so we can keep the preparation of your return moving forward.
Step 4: Review and File Tax Return
Once all questions are answered and the return is completed, it is time to review and file the return.
If a meeting is required, someone from our team will reach out and schedule a time to review the return together in person or via Zoom.
If no meeting is required, the tax return(s) will be uploaded to the secure portal for your review. Form 8879 will also be added to the portal for electronic signature. Your signature(s) on the return indicates you have no questions after reviewing the return, and it is ready to file.
Step 5: Pay Your Invoice
Invoices will be sent out weekly after the successful filing of your tax return. We appreciate prompt payment. Please reach out to us if you do not receive your invoice or have any questions regarding your invoice.
